Welcome to
Lloyd Aviation!
Specialized flight training beyond FAA requirements.
What We Do
Specialized Flight Instruction
There are many places you can go to earn a FAA Pilot Certificate but there are very few who can take you well beyond what the FAA requires. Quite frankly, meeting the FAA’s requirements for a pilot certificate does not ensure you are well trained or prepared to deal with unusual situations. Lloyd Aviation is one of a small number of schools that can elevate your proficiency to “expand your envelope” and provide you with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that you can handle whatever comes your way. Not only do we teach you new skills, we are able to explain why these skills are needed. This understanding will help you if you are ever cast into unknown flying territory.

Testimonials
When I decided to embark on my aviation journey, I reached out to multiple trusted pilot friends to determine my best course. The consensus was Lloyd Aviation. Mr. Brian Lloyd's instruction exceeded the FAA standards as well as my own for private and intrument ratings. His spin and UPRT classes have made me a safer, more confident pilot. I am pursuing areobatic and tailwheel traing next. I will continue my training with Lloyd Aviation as the bar has been set. Lloyd Aviation is exceptional and I could not give it a higher recommendation for any pilot who strives to be a safer, better pilot.
Since day one of flight school I had been nervous about needing to go for spin training, but Brian made it so much fun and a VERY rewarding experience. Not only is flying the SIAI Marchetti an awesome experience in itself, but every maneuver Brian includes in the training teaches an important lesson. My personal favorites ended up being the aileron rolls and the hammerhead demonstration. I will definitely be returning to Brian for the occasional recurrent spin training and I HIGHLY recommend him for your spin training! Even if you are not a prospective CFI, it will make you a better pilot and is totally worth it!!
I did my spin and upset recovery training with Lloyd aviation. He created a very professional and welcoming environment. He taught well beyond the requirements, and made the experience enjoyable while doing it!
From the first phone call, I knew this was the right place. Professional, safety-minded, and incredibly supportive. The Basic Aerobatics Upgrade reminded me why I fell in love with flying in the first place.
Lloyd Aviation goes beyond ticking FAA boxes. Their UPRT training gave me tools to handle real-world emergencies, not just pass a checkride. It’s training that could save lives.
What impressed me most was the depth of experience the instructors bring. With thousands of hours across so many aircraft types, they’re not just teaching from theory — they’ve lived it. I left every lesson with practical skills I could use immediately.
The tailwheel transition course was an eye-opener. I’d been flying tricycle gear for years, but Brian made the learning process both challenging and fun. Now I feel like a more complete pilot.
Hands down the best flight training I’ve ever had. Brian’s spin and upset recovery program gave me confidence I didn’t know I was missing. He pushes you beyond the textbook so you’re ready for anything in the cockpit.
