“Spin training with Brian was incredible! It started with a ground where we spoke a lot about aerodynamics but also about various aircraft Brian has flown and experiences we have all had. He also printed out a few sheets with information for each of us to hold onto. I found this to be a great resource as a (at the time) prospective CFI since I had to prepare a lesson on spins, but with only this one spin training serving as prior experience on the topic. Brian is extremely knowledgeable and it was a treat to be able to pick his brain!

For my group, we knocked the ground out on a bad-weather day and planned to fly another day when the weather would be better. However, after the ground Brian still took us over to the hangar to see the aircraft and teach us about using the parachutes. At first it’s a little daunting to see the parachute and imagine needing to use it, but Brian makes everything extremely comfortable and, despite being a very serious topic, lighthearted. When the weather cleared up, it was no different on the flight. Since day one of flight school I had been nervous about needing to go for spin training, but it ended up being so much fun and a VERY rewarding experience. Not only is flying the SIAI Marchetti an awesome experience in itself, but every maneuver Brian includes in the training teaches an important lesson. My personal favorites ended up being the aileron rolls and the hammerhead demonstration. I will definitely be returning to Brian for the occasional recurrent spin training and I HIGHLY recommend him for your spin training! Even if you are not a prospective CFI, it will make you a better pilot and is totally worth it!!”
